December weddings in Memphis are few and far between, but when they happen we LOVE them! Samantha and James’s Cedar Hall wedding in December of 2016 was certainly no exception.

Their ceremony and reception both took place in the stables at Cedar Hall. Their ceremony was officiated by none other than Mayor Jim Strickland himself. Who can say the mayor officiated your wedding?! How cool is that?

Their officiant was certainly not the only notable vendor at this wedding. Samantha’s dress came from Maggie Louise Bridal, Kasey Acuff was the makeup artist, Betts Made did the floral, Kipp Cakes made their wedding cake, and Philip Van Zandt was the photographer. Talk about an all-star team! It really can’t get much better than that.

After the ceremony, the guests were already in the location for the reception, so the transition was seamless. Samantha and James’s guests had the opportunity to get dinner, prepared by the incredible Cedar Hall kitchen, while the newlyweds were elsewhere for photos. Once they were announced into the reception as Mr. and Mrs. James Richards, the party commenced.

Their coordinator, Carol Johnson, did an impeccable job making sure the reception went smoothly. Mix a great group of guests, a super fun couple, and a fun party together and you have the recipe for an unforgettable reception. The only thing missing would be a photo booth – But they had that too! Hot Shots Photo Booth was there to make sure the guests had a little piece of the fantastic night to take home with them.

We are beyond blessed to have been a part of Mr. and Mrs. Richards’s special day. We wish you many years of happiness!
